Dr. Jeff Frey

Dr. Jeff Frey is the owner of Summit Animal Hospital and has been a practicing veterinarian for over thirty years.  His wife, Barb, is a nurse, and they have three grown children.  Their oldest son, Daniel, is proudly serving as a United States Marine.  They have three cats, Tigger, Snuggles, and Blackboots, and two wonderful Labs, Chap and Ellie.


Dr. Kathryn Vance

Dr. Kathryn Vance earned her DVM degree from Washington State University in 2011.  Her areas of interest include wellness and preventative care, internal medicine, dermatology and ophthamology.  She and her husband Tyler, who is also a veterinarian live in Vancouver WA with their three dogs Guinness, Nelly and Juniper.  In her spare time, Dr. Vance enjoys reading, cooking, camping, spending time with her family,  and exploring the Columbia River Gorge.


Dr. Tyler Vance

Dr. Tyler Vance received a bachelor of science in Animal Science in 2007 and his doctorate in 2011 from Washington State University.  It was there that he met, and later married, Dr. Kathryn Vance.  They are expecting their first child in August of 2015.  He enjoys camping and fishing with family near his hometown of White Salmon, Washington.


Dianne ~ Technician

Dianne started at Summit as a veterinary assistant in 2006.  She has owned many pets over the years, although her favorite will always be her service dog, Lucky.  Dianne is heavily involved in charity, to which she devotes much of her free time.  In the rest of her time away from the clinic, she enjoys gardening, sewing, crafting, and spending time with family and friends.


Trisha ~ Technician

Trisha came to Summit as a veterinary assistant in 2012.  Originally from the Bay Area in California, she has worked in the veterinary field for over seven years. She lives with her husband, Shawn, and five children, and is looking forward to baby number six, who is on the way.  Their furry family members include two rescue dogs, Toby and Sheldon, and a cat named Squirrel.  In her spare time, Trisha enjoys the beach, photography, and spending time with her husband and kids.


Sue ~ Technician / Receptionist

Sue has worked at Summit Animal Hospital since 2003 as both a technician and a receptionist.
When she was thirteen, she learned her friend’s father needed kennel help in his veterinary clinic.  Sue started work there, and because of her love for animals, has been in the veterinary field ever since.
Sue enjoys spending time with her husband and three daughters, two dogs, two cats, and a cockatiel named Cheeky.  Her interests also include gardening, antiquing, and travel.


Andi ~ Technician


Diane  ~ Office Manager

Diane has been a client of Summit Animal Hospital since 2001 and joined the team as Office Manager in 2015.  She live with her husband, Shawn and their Whippet, Febe.  In her free time, Diane enjoys spending time with their daughter Chanel, family and playing tennis and golf.


Jenny ~ Receptionist

Jenny started as a receptionist at Summit Animal Hospital in January 2011.  She lives in Vancouver with her husband, Sean, their dog, Davis, and George the cat.  Her interests include ceramics, design, WSU Cougar football, and spending time with friends and family.


Megan ~ Receptionist

Megan joined Summit Animal Hospital as a receptionist in November 2006.  She and her husband and three kids have raised over fifteen puppies for Guide Dogs for the Blind.  She loves outdoor activities and spending time with family and friends.  She has one dog and a tortoise.
